Deal me in on the boring half of your store.

I'm Joshua, a Shopify virtual assistant and store specialist. Two years inside Shopify's technical merchant support, now freelance. Theme, catalog, orders, speed and search, all handled by one person.

Six cards on the table.

Scroll and they stack. Take one lane or hand over the whole store. Most people start with an audit and move to a monthly retainer.

01

Theme & store build

Full storefronts from an empty admin, or precise edits to the theme you already run. Written into the theme in Liquid, not bolted on with another app, so it stays fast and it stays yours.

02

Catalog & product data

Product data that holds up as you grow. Bulk imports, variant clean-up, structured attributes for brand, format and origin, plus the collections and filters that sit on top of them.

03

Daily store operations

Orders, inventory levels, refunds and the customer inbox. The unglamorous daily work that keeps a store trustworthy, handled before you open the admin.

04

Speed & Core Web Vitals

Find what's genuinely slowing the storefront down, then fix it in the theme. Images, render-blocking scripts, layout shift, and the apps quietly costing you conversions.

SEO & AI search visibility

On-page SEO plus the newer job: being the store that AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity actually cite. Schema, clean structure, and copy written for humans first.

Automation & integrations

Shopify Flow for the repetitive work, payment gateways and checkout configured properly, and third-party apps wired so they talk to each other instead of past each other.

Taste Culinary Food

A Philippine café-ingredient distributor moving off the shop floor and onto Shopify. Built from an empty admin: custom Liquid templates, brand pages for Catcher Gourmet, Toschi and Cafetto, payment gateways and checkout, metafields structuring every attribute, and a browser-based inventory reconciliation tool.

Adahlia Boutique

A UK modern-luxury womenswear label. Ongoing theme development and a rolling audit programme through a GitHub-connected deploy pipeline, holding one design system consistent across every section while the catalogue keeps changing.

About

Two years on the inside, spent learning where stores break.

From April 2024 to April 2026 I worked inside Shopify as technical merchant support, front line for merchants worldwide. Themes, apps, payments, checkout, DNS, domains, gateway failures. When something broke, it came to my queue.

That job taught me where stores actually break, and it's almost never where the owner thinks it is. Now I do the fixing directly, freelance, for founders and small teams who need someone who can read Liquid and answer a customer email in the same afternoon.

I work from Olongapo City in the Philippines, overlap comfortably with US, UK and Australian hours, and use AI-assisted workflows throughout so turnaround is faster than the rate suggests.
